OUR FOCUS THIS WEEK: DREAM RECALL ~ Remembering Your Dreams

  1. GET YOURSELF A DREAM JOURNAL

-And a pen that is easy to write with. You can even get a pen light - incase you need to write in the dark!

-Write yourself dream affirmations in your journal to read every night before falling asleep. These affirmations are personal to you, feel into what your dream affirmations may be and speak them outloud each night before falling asleep. Example: it is easy to remember my dreams, I am motivated to remember my dreams, I am ready and eager to receive the wisdom encoded in my dreams, it is easy for me to understand the messages and meanings of my dreams, remembering my dreams is of great value to me, tonight I will lucid dream, tonight I will heal in my dreams, when I awaken I will fully remember my dreams and especially the message within my dreams etc etc.

-Before falling asleep: write tomorrows date on a new page in your dream journal and leave it open and ready, pen ready to write. You can write down a specific question you may have or ask for clarity/assistance on something in your life. Set the intention that you will awaken with the dream in your awareness and memory. “Tonight I remember my dreams. When I awaken, I remember my dreams”.

Dream Recall Visualization: As you fall asleep, call on your dream guide(s) and ask for assistance in remembering your dreams. As you fall asleep affirm: I remember my dreams. Visualize yourself waking up tomorrow, with ECSTATIC JOY that you’ve remembered your dreams!!! See yourself writing them down with great satisfaction!

REMINDER: the last thing you think about (and FEEL about) before falling asleep, carries into the first 4hours of your sleep cycle ~ Choose wisely :)

When you awaken:

-Keep eyes closed and recall the dream, rerunning it through your mind. Your first 10 minutes upon waking is when your dream is still freshly accessible to your conscious mind.

-Write in the present moment as you recall/walk through your dream(s) again. Especially make note of how you feel! Even if it seems insignificant, write it down like it is the most important thing in the whole world: The more important you treat your dream recall, the more your subconscious mind will begin to realize this information is really important to you and respond accordingly.

IF YOU DON’T REMEMBER: Ask yourself the following questions and write them in your dream journal. Allow yourself to write the first thing that comes to mind:
1. If my dreams last night had a colour, what. colour would they be?
2. If my dreams last night had an overarching feeling/emotion, what would it be?
3. If I could recall one thing about my dreams last night, what would it be?

_____________

Dream recall aids

Dream recall glass of water. Before falling asleep drink half of the glass infusing it with your intention “tonight I remember my dreams”. Drink second half in morning affirming your intention, “My dreams are recalled”.

Plan to wake up! I find nightly trips to the bathroom to be really HELPFUL in dream recall! Drinking lots of water before bed and setting the intention that you will awaken in the night immediately after a dream to use the bathroom. Bring your journal with you to make notes or you can even record on a recording device.

________

Daily Habits to start now ~ to prepare for Lucid Dreaming

1. As you go throughout your day, ask yourself “How did I get here? Am I dreaming?” notice the details in your surroundings, look for anything out of the ordinary and out of place - this is one of your dream cues to help you become conscious within your dreams, there will be a cue for you ALWAYS, your job is to become aware enough to see it and recognize it. Becoming conscious of your surroundings throughout your waking day and being grounded and aware in the present moment, in the NOW, is a powerful practice for Waking Up - in more ways than one ;)

2. Be conscious when you walk through doorways. Every time you walk through a doorway, ask yourself “How did I get here? Am I dreaming?” and look at the details of the doorway and your surroundings.

3. Turn light switches on and off every time you pass them - and really LOOK at what your doing, engraining that into your mind, forming a habit that you can use in your dreams as a cue- in dreams the lights don’t change ;)

PAINTING PROMPT

PAINT YOUR DREAM DOOR to your HEALING SANCTUARY - This will be your dream programmed doorway to your souls private healing sanctuary. I recommend that you paint the door fully or partially closed so you can really give the door itself some attention. BRING THIS TO THE GROUP CLEARING on WEDS if you can :)

Sending you so much LOVE!!! Happy Dreaming!!!
